W-A-S-H-I-N-G-T-O-N D.C. Ya!

Good Morning! As most of you know, I went to Washington D.C. last week. I came back yesterday, but was busy so couldn't post. I stayed with my cousin in the Gaylord Hotel. My cousin, Kenny, was number 218. He survived round two and three but didn't make the cut for the fourth round. They only took the 41 best kids out of 275. Don't you dare call my cousin dumb because he didn't make it. You and I didn't make it. (Sorry for the spellers who are reading this. I'm just saying in general.) Kenny did awesomely. He was close to making it into the next round. This is his first and last year to go to the bee. He's a bit disappointed but not surprised that he didn't make it. I had helped him study, but how he did was up to the Lord. I visited tons of monuments, museums, and stores in D.C. It was really cool. I didn't go into the clothing stores out of my free will but oh well. I went into the book and electronics stores happily. I visited the library of Congress. I was so sad that I couldnt go in it since I didn't have a reader's card. In that library is every book ever printed in the U.S. or so they say. That's is like the ultimate library. I wanted to sit there and read for the reast of the tour but sadly it wasn't allowed. Sigh. I still had a great time getting signatures from the finalists and other spellers. The spellers were really nice. The champ, Sukanya Roy, is really sweet and calm. I wish I had more time to get to know her. She's really busy. I just wish that these nice kids would know that God is real. There are only a few believers in the bee, and I met one of them. The others are lost. I feel bad that I didn't really try to witness to anyone. I tried a few times but they would either leave or give the tract back. No matter, I'll try harder next time. You should go to D.C. It's a great city, and a big one!
