1. The Danger
- To have a joyful life, you've got to handle your problmes the right way. Those who aren't joyful are easy to find.
- Isaiah 55:8 ~ In every trial (parents divorce, loved one gets sick, can't get along with someone, can't do well in school) there is an opportunity.
- The Bible is our crisis manuel that gives us info on how to handle trouble.
- If we don't handle it right, it gets worse.
- "The greatest danger is always the flesh" is the 1st principle.
- Before we help others, cleanse our lives first. (Matt. 7:3-5, James 4:8, Rom. 12:21)
- Just say no. Bring good to a bad situation.
- Feeling sadness, bitterness, anger, fear, worry, and stubborness means we aren't doing it right.
- A person's biggest crisis is hell, a place of eternal darkness, heat, and pain. (Matt. 16:26)
- "The Gospel is always the answer." is the 2nd principle.
- Why would God let you into heaven? Because Christ died for you and you believe He is your Savior. (Ron. 3:23, Is. 53:6, Rom. 6:23)
- God is ready and willing to save people. He is ALWAYS READY. We just have to ask.
- He LOVES to rescue people from hell and other troubles.
- Jesus loves to heal, to save, and to rescue. He's our Savoir and every promise shows His intention to help us. (Rom. 8:32)
- He promised to save from sin.
- Crisis helps define what's really important and changes your goals.
- "God's glory is always the goal." is the 3rd principle.
- Like the glory of Mt. Everest in being first in height, our lives should put God first. We should do what He says, and that's how we show God's first.
- We've got to read His word, look for godly people to get advice from, pray, and forgive others.
- Don't be proud and not ask for help. People's biggest problem is that they can't solve their problems alone. (II Cor. 9:8, I Cor. 15:10)
- God helps and sends grace to us. We have the ability to do what we should do. (I Peter 5:5)
- God doesn't give grace to the stubborn. We have to be humble. He'll then give us strength. We're never too weak to bow to God. He asked us to put Him first.
- God is our strong tower. He will keep us safe. In Him, we can do what's right. We should pray to Him in troubled times. (Psalm 18:2, Psalm 61:1,3)
- "God Himself is always enough." is the 4th principle.
- We've got to know truth about God. He'll give you courage to face a bully. He is loving and strong and will protect us from Satan. We've got to believe He's strong and loving enough to help us. (Luke 1:37)
- Gad can do anything. He made everything by His word. Don't worry about anything. God will protect, strengthen, help, and uphold is with His righteous hand. He loves us with a perfect love, and nothing can take that love away. (Jer. 32:17, Is. 41:10, Jer. 31:3, Rom. 8: 38-39
- In troubled times, know your God and know Him well.
