Need of Prayer

Hi! I've desided to put up a page about some prayers you could try if you find you're lacking in your prayer life. These may help you. These are not my ideas. They are from a professor in BJU. It is a great school. It may be a bit strict, but that's what keeps us out of sin. If you have any questions about the prayer list please email me any time you like!

Gospel Prayer~ pray to be more like God
Hymn Prayer~ Pray through a hymn (Use the words of the hymn in your prayer but not hte exact words)
Psalm and Confessional Prayer~ Pray through a psalm and/or confess of sins or worries that you have
Prophetic Prayer~ Pray through a prophesy like a prophesy of Christ and thank God that Jesus fulfilled the requirements to save us
Reconsiliatory Prayer~ pray for those who are your enemies, who are annoying, who just bother you (This is probably one of the hardest prayers.)
Thanksgiving Prayer~ spend 15-30 minutes in prayer thanking God in prayer (Not one request can be made)
Narrative Prayer~ pray through the death and resurrection of Jesus our Savior
Doctinal Prayer~ pray through a chapter in Romans (or half a chapter then gradually build up until you can pray a full chapter)
Epilstle Prayer~ pray through a chapter in a Epilstle like Colossians 1 and Ephesians 1

In this list, you don't have to pray like this right away. You can slowly build up until you can pray the full amount. I personally think that the Thanksgiving and Reconsiliatroy Prayers are the hardest. You just want to ask God to grant this request or you just really want God to fry that person who annoys you to a chrisp. Praying can really help a problems we have. Have an amazing day!
