Hey! As promised here is chapter 7. Ooh, I'm so excited! This is the second to last chapter. Don't worry. I haven't forgotten my promise to you that I'll make a post immediately after the last chapter and show some anime pics of the characters. I just hope I can find some anime pics that look more like adults than teens. Oh, well. That's my problem. Recap: Josh and George try to rescue Percy but are almost blown to bits in the car. Kyle is the traitor and murderer. Josh and Percy are now unconscious while George is cursing and struggling against the bonds.
Chapter 7:Unexpected Friend
Amy stifled a squeak as she watched her friends being pulled away. Sure, she was really mean to them while they were there, but she actually enjoyed their company. She was surprised by their balance of religious beliefs and logical thinking. Amy, being unsaved, thought that she did everything in life without supernatural help. Josh's little speech stunned her into rethinking her opinion that Christians are just good-two-shoes wanting to be praised. Maybe Josh was delirious. She often thought to herself as she ran towards HQ. Even George admitted that Josh was different in a good way. She always knew her brother wasn't the same little boy he used to be. He developed a fake outer personality that always pointed to her when trouble came, always blaming her while acting all innocent. The other was the mastermind under many of the strings of murders throughout New York.
After explaining everything, how George's car and all the other cars exploded killing almost everyone and how those who survived were captured, she was roughly shoved into a different car, one that's been checked for bombs of course. She pointed the way to the explosion sight even though it's hard to miss a giant plume of smoke.
"How'd you're little brat of a brother get bombs inside our cars?" growled the officer that she was riding with.
"He has a computer bubby that can build these high tech bomb things. Yeah, I don't know how my brother found help from a terrorist, but he did."
Stomping on the brake, the officers got out at the sight. "They're probably expecting us." he growled again.
Amy sighed and bit back a sassy remark about his growling. "I don't think so. He's probably overconfident that he beat the cops, FBI, etc. If I know my brother, he's sneaking and conniving, but if he thinks he's got the main pieces of the enemies army taken care of, he'll begin to sit back and relax. That's why I beat him in chess."
As the group steathily as possible walk towards the building, Amy's breath quickened. "If your out there God, keep me alive please. I promise that I'll listen to Your Christians when they witness. Just please, I'm not sure where I'm gonna go when I die, and I don't want to find out. Help!"
An officer near her grunted. "Josh and Percy getting to you, huh?" She nodded wearily. "Those two saved my life last month. I've been following them to church ever since. Got saved last week."
Before she could thank him for keep her company, the chief whispered orders into the walkie-talkies. Amy, never being one to sit back and watch, disobeyed the orders to stay near the trees and went after them. As the officers wreaked havoc in the large building, she saw her brother running for a hidden exit. Grabbing the nearest hard object, a rock the size of her fist, she chucked it at him even though her aim was aweful. As the gunfire sounded loudly to her left, Amy watched as the rock knocked Kyle unconscious. "Thank you, God." she whispered.
An officer shoved Josh's unconscious body into her arms. "Get him out of here! NOW!" The "Now" part was unnecessary since Amy was already running before he finished. Once outside, Amy examined Josh's wounds. There was a gash on his head where a piece of car whacked him, and his legs looked like someone tried to fry him like a chicken. She shuddered and dragged him further away from the shooting. Soon, the bandits and thugs were either dead, unconscious, or had fled. Two ambulances had taken Josh and Percy to the hospital while George was being checked by a few medics still on the scene. Sitting wearily on a rock, Amy watched horrorified as body after body of wounded or dead men, thug and officer, were brought out. She shuddered and looked down. the officer earily hobbled over to her.
"You okay?" he asked. She glance at his leg.
"I should be asking you that."
"I'm fine. Just got chipped back a bullet. How are you taking all of this?"
"Truthfully, I'm terrified. I've never seen so many freshly killed men before. I don't know what will..." she paused not sure how to continue.
"I was even more terrified when I was on the receiving end of a fatal bullet last month. If Josh hadn't shoved the guy, I would be dead and in hell. Josh then received a blow on the head and then got shoved into a river."
She stared at him. "How is he still alive? Last month was December! With a gashed head, he would've..."
"He received a healing miracle. Just like how Percy somehow survived that knife gutting him earlier in the investigation."
Amy was silent for a while. "I'm gonna talk to my mom about this. She's been a Christian for years. She'll know where to start. Oh, I don't even know your name. I'm Amy."
"James."
Amy sat in her room breathing deeply. She slowly rose and walked to her mother's room. "Mom?" she asked tentivly.
Mrs. Steel looked up stunned. Her daughter had never been tentive even when she was young. "Yes. dear. Is something wrong?"
"I want to get saved."
Hello readers! I am a girl with an overactive imagination and some random hyperactive bursts. I get it from my six year old brother. Writing and reading are two things I do a lot. I may offend some people without meaning to and forgive me if I do. I just want say that I want your imput. This is your blog too. Just ask and if I like it and it is reasonable, I'll put it onto my blog! I may be a little childish at times, but hey, that's how I am. Look around to see what I've made! Enjoy!
