I can't believe it! It's the LAST chapter already! Wow. Oh, and as I promised. Right after this story I'll put up the pics of Josh, Percy, George, Kyle, and Amy on the next post. Oh, and after that, I'm putting up a poll to vote to deside which story to do next. You can go back to my older posts to look at the snippets that I made a while ago. Recap (Last one!): Amy had brought bunch of officers and all kinds of stuff to rescue Josh, Percy, and George. She knocked her brother out by a fist sized rock that she found and now she's about to get saved! Onwards to the end!
Chapter 9: A New Start
Amy took a shaky breath after her mother was finished giving her a bone-crushing hug. The woman was really strong for her age. Amy sits down at the table as her mother pulled out her Bible. "You know the steps don't you dear?" Amy nodded.
"I just don't know how to do them. Do you do some hand motion or something? Or do you touch your forehead to the ground? I just don't know!" Amy confessed frustrated. She hated not knowing things. Being a reporter she took pride in all the knowledge she gained after an interview.
Mrs. Steel smiled at her. "We not Catholics or Muslim. God just wants us to kneel and pray." She got down on her knees and beckoned her daughter to do so as well. "Close your eyes and bow your head. Just talk to God. He is your Heavenly Father. Just tell Him how sorry you are. How you know He is God. You believe that He sent His Son to die, and then He raised Him from the dead. Ask Him to save you, Amy. Ask Him to take you in His protecting arms like He has done for many ahead of you."
Amy took another shaky breath before beginning. "Dear God, I've never really done this stuff so, um, I apologize in adivance for what I might do wrong. I want to be Your child like Josh and Percy. You gave them miraculous healing and gave me the ability to help the officers. I know that You sent Your Son to die. I know that He is alive today." She began to cry. "Forgive me for ta-taking so long to realize. Forgive me f-for saying a-and doing horrible things that I-I knew You h-hated. S-save me p-please. I kn-know You're m-my Heavenly F-Father and t-that You l-love me. I c-can't save m-myself. P-please protect me!" She was sobbing right now and after a while, managed to close the prayer in a quiet. "In Jesus' name, Amen."
A few weeks later, Amy came to visit Josh and Percy in their HQ. They had just come back from recuperating and were happy to here of her conversion. Kyle was given a life-long prison sentence for his crimes."I'm happy for you! God is merciful and good." Josh said smiling.
Percy nodded. "VERY good." Amy chuckled at the extra emphasis.
"George's our brother in Christ now too." Josh said wincing slightly as he accidently bumped his leg against the desk. Amy frowned.
"You shouldn't be back if you're not completely healed."
Josh sighed. "Yes, but I'm almost healed right now. Besides, I thinking I'm getting used to visiting the hospital every month or so. Staying home is beginning to get dull."
The three of them laughed. "Don't worry, Brother. God'll protect you." Percy said slapping him on the back.
George poked his head in. "Hey, got a new investigation for you."
Josh got off of the desk that he was sitting on. "Alright, thanks George. Make sure you have the ambulance ready when I get home."
George laughed. "Sure thing, Brother."
Josh and Percy began to get their things together. "See ya Amy." Percy said.
Josh nodded. "Let's hope the next time we meet isn't in a hopsital. Percy and I get into trouble a lot."
I thought you liked you're hopsital bed." Amy teased.
Josh grinned. "I do. I just don't like the pain that comes with it."
Amy watched them drive quickly off. "Greed. A greater poison than polonium." Those were the words that Josh got her attention with. It made her realize how many bad things branched from it. Jealousy, murder, lies, theft. The list goes on. She walks to her car and turns on the ignition. Now, she can only hope that her brother can somehow shake the poison out and realize the truth before it is too late.
Hello readers! I am a girl with an overactive imagination and some random hyperactive bursts. I get it from my six year old brother. Writing and reading are two things I do a lot. I may offend some people without meaning to and forgive me if I do. I just want say that I want your imput. This is your blog too. Just ask and if I like it and it is reasonable, I'll put it onto my blog! I may be a little childish at times, but hey, that's how I am. Look around to see what I've made! Enjoy!
