What's up! Is my story good so far? I hope it isn't dull. If it is, comment me and I'll try to do better. I thank you for your imput. Anyway, where were we? Oh, yes, we were at the part where Percy was captured by three thugs. One having a REALLY thick southern accent. Let's go!
Chapter 6: A Rescue Gone Wrong
Josh was pacing back and forth in his office. George was sitting in a chair next to him pondering the situation. "What can we do? The men never promised to keep Percy alive. He could be dead now for all we know. They also never promised that we would stay alive once we get there with the money." Josh muttered pacing even faster if that was possible.
George grunted. "I wouldn't trust them even if they promised. Besides they didn't give us a day and time to bring the money."
Josh groaned and momentarily stopped pacing. "We'll just have a rescue plan as soon as possible, and when we've got Percy in our hands, we'll leave the money there."
"If Percy's alive, we'll leave the full amount. If he's dead, we'll give half the amount. If they've burned his body, we don't give them anything and grab Percy's ashes for a somewhat proper burial." George added.
Josh shuddered at the thought. "Let's hope that it doesn't come to that."
After much thought, the detectives desided to first get the thugs to bring Percy out. Then, with a group of officers waiting for them so they don't do anything funny. The trade will happen, and the next day, the detective will track the thugs down again and send them to jail.
Somewhere not to far away, a shadowy person sits in his room chuckling. "They never give their "friends" a second glance. If they did, they'd find that they're the ones who've been infultrated." The figure chuckled once more while fingering the radio connected to the tiny bugs he had planted into Detective Weathers briefcase. These were tiny and unnoticable. "Well, we'll see how we can twist Mr. Weathers plans shall we?"
That night, Josh and George sent a signal to the thugs to bring Percy to the warehouse. As they neared the building, Josh heard a low beeping noise. "What's that? Do you have your alarm on or something?" he muttered quietly. George slowed down. His eyes widened.
"That's NOT an alarm. GET OUT!" Josh and George jumped out of the car just as the beeping stopped. The car exploded and sent the two men flying.
"Ugh," Josh groaned. His legs were seared and his head throbbing. George was in a little better condition. In his fading vision and hearing, he saw Kyle holding Percy by the arm.
"Josh! Wake up! Kyle don't do this!" Percy shouted desperatdly. George growled.
"Spoiled brat! Killing your own twin! Despicable!"
"Greed, a poison like no other." Josh croaked his vision leaving him very quickly. "It can lead you to do crazy things, like killing a child of God then impersonating a child of God. Kyle...you're day'll come...God knows..."
Percy watched in horror as his best friend's body went limp. He struggled out of Kyle's grip only to receive a blow to the temple by one of his assassins. George growled and reached for his gun. A thug slammed it out of his hand. George cursed. Kyle chuckled. "Why is a sain man like you working with these crazy Christians? Come and join me."
George spat at his feet. "They have something you and I don't. I don't know want it is, but they've got something I want. Besides, you're the insain one."
Kyle scowled. "Take them away."
A thug bound George while two others dragged Percy and Josh towards the warehouse.
Hello readers! I am a girl with an overactive imagination and some random hyperactive bursts. I get it from my six year old brother. Writing and reading are two things I do a lot. I may offend some people without meaning to and forgive me if I do. I just want say that I want your imput. This is your blog too. Just ask and if I like it and it is reasonable, I'll put it onto my blog! I may be a little childish at times, but hey, that's how I am. Look around to see what I've made! Enjoy!
