Hello People of Earth! It's Time for the Verse!

Alighty then! Today's verse is Hebrews 12:2. "Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured that cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God." This verse is one that is pretty well known. It's says that we should keep our eyes on Christ. He fulfilled the promise God made about sending a Messiah in Hebrew or Christ in Greek, and He died and rose again finishing the necessary requirments to save His lost people from their sins. He started and finished our faith. That's why we need to keep our eyes on Him. We won't find a better example of the perfect Christian life than Christ's life. We need to follow His example and don't let hte world distract us. The rest of the verse tells of what Christ went through during His earthly life. Think about it. Christ, the perfect Son of God, came down from his throne in his perfect home in heaven surrounded by loving subjects to earth to be born in a very poor family. He came down from a home that is sinless to a world that is filled to the brim with sin. He came down from the riches and streets to gold to the small and poor home of a capenter. He left His throne to be a carpenter's son and oldest brother of sinful siblings. He left all the splendor to save us. Then, He left the comforts of His earthly family to be a teacher and a preacher. He then accepted the burden of the shameful cross. He did nothing wrong, but He endured the shameful cross and bore all of the world's sin on His shoulders. He was tortured before He went to the cross. He was beaten by a Roman soldier, and once that soldier was tired, another would take his place and continue beating Jesus with a whip. The whip itself had pieces of sharp glass, bone, and metal tied to it so the soldiers could rip out skin and flesh as they struck. Jesus went through all that, then had to carry a cross that would've been as heavy as a tree all the way to Calvary. There He was nailed to the cross and was forced to die from suffication. Jesus however didn't die from suffication. He gave up His life. He gave it up when He fulfilled every prophecy that there was about Him. He then was buried, rose again the third day, and then ascended to meet His Father in heaven. He's up in heaven right now, bringing the prayers of His church to His Father. He is loving us even though we have done so many things against Him. There's none in the world like Christ, no not one.
